Product Family Overview

ACSS is a bare overhead conductor designed for high-temperature operation up to 250°C continuous. The aluminum strands are fully annealed (1350-O temper) so the steel core carries essentially all mechanical load, allowing the aluminum to operate at elevated temperatures without loss of strength. Used for reconductoring existing transmission lines to increase ampacity without structure modifications, and for new high-capacity transmission and distribution lines where maximum current-carrying capacity is required.
